This listing is for a PIKO G Scale Christmas Train Steam Engine Plus Christmas Cars. This set is just for the Piko engine and the four cars ONLY. The track that is seen in the pictures is NOT included. I do not have a g scale transformer myself but I had the train tested at a model train shop and it runs well forwards and backwards and the headlight works. The engine is a very high quality Piko engine made in Germany. It originally came from the PIKO G Scale indoor – outdoor. The locomotive has directional lighting and can be retro-fitted with a Digital Decoder and a smoke generator. Not sure exactly what that means. You can also watch a video of this engine by searching YouTube for. The Christmas cars are of various manufactures 2 are LGB. And 2 are unmarked and some have slightly different couplers which don’t line up evenly so will need a little assistance keeping them attached to one another such as a string or twisty tie. Overall the engine and cars are in great cosmetic condition. There are a few minor cosmetic flaws which I pointed out in the pics and the caboose was nicely decorated with wreaths and a Santa Clause in the back. This set is ideal for someone who already has a set up with a transformer and track who is looking for a fun Christmas themed set featuring a very nice, high quality Pico engine built to last.
