This extra car with load and ramp is very rare. Each of the flat cars has circus wagon loads, with the exception of the silver flat car that has a ramp and rare dozer with hold downs that was made in Germany, There is one Sound Steam Engine and Tender, Eleven Cars & Three Hand Crafted Wagons, and the silver flat car with a rare dozer made in Germany and ramp for the dozer to drive on and off the car. A Brief History of the Wilson Brothers Circus Set. The set was manufactured by LGB and commissioned by Depot G Hobbies. Jim Marski of Depot G Hobbies. The set included a locomotive with tender and 10 cars. 2000 cars of each type were to be produced for the set and 650 locos with sound and 700 without sound were made by LGB for the sets. Three of the cars were flat cars with three types of circus wagons made by Columbine Hobby Co. A cage wagon, a band wagon, and a tableau wagon. Serial numbers were added to the cars of the sets by Depot G Hobbies, not LGB and were based on the post mark of the subscription orders or the customers’ wishes. All cars to a given customer were to have the same serial number. Here is a photo of the certificate that Depot G Hobbies issued for this sets. Certificate is included with the set. The LGB 4360-DG Silver Flat Car that came with the a Die Cast 1931 Model Sixty Diesel Caterpillar with Metal Tracks and loading ramp, was not issued as part of the original set but was issued later. Depot G Hobbies later offered three “smaller sets” to due to a production shortage of the tank car. This also made the tank car slightly more rare. These mini sets had their own set of serial numbers and each set consisted of three cars. An 11th car with bull dozer (a Caterpillar D 60 scale model) with ramp for off loading the dozer and special plastic parts for holding the dozer on the flat car was later offered by Depot G Hobbies. The flat car made by LGB and the dozer was made in Germany by someone else, not LGB. This extra car with load and ramp is very rare with the dozer. The dozer itself is extremely rare. The loco and all the 11 cars are included with this set, still in the factory boxes and 2 master cartons. This set is ready to run, just put on the tack and go!
