Up for sale is a vintage LGB 20539 Nürnberger Bierzug Beer Train Set, produced circa 1989 as a limited run of 1,000 units. This is set number 80, a low serial number example, and features the less common gold nose locomotive, which is not seen on all versions of this set. The locomotive has not been tested due to lack of track/equipment, but it was part of a display collection and appears to have seen little to no use. This was part of my late father’s large LGB collection and was stored on shelves in our home. He was more of a collector than anything. All train cars appear to be in excellent condition. I took one picture of one of the tanker cars that appears to have a minor scuff mark on it. May be able scrub off which I did not try. Original box is included; the plastic handle on top is broken off and not included. The box remains structurally intact and displays well with signs of normal storage wear. It does have a black mark on the back of it and the front cover is partially unglued. Please review all photos carefully for the exact condition.
