A beautiful set in excellent condition for the its age. In the video I show the locomotive running on brass track that is not part of the set, but with the set’s transformer. It will run on the included stainless steel track but the motion is choppy because of tarnish (not rust) on the rails. The track should be polished prior to use. DO RESEARCH on the proper way to polish and don’t just go at it with sandpaper or whatever steel wool is lying around. The headlight does work, but I haven’t tested the smoke. No smoke liquid included or on hand. The broken off small drive rod pictured does not affect function. The piece is included. I lubricated the reachable points on the locomotive with Labelle 107 but did not attempt to disassemble the sealed motor. I think it is pretty low-mileage. A very impressive set and a great start for G-Scaling!
