First, for more information about this version of the Holiday Tradition check out the YouTube videos. My set runs great. I have just cleaned and sanded the rails with is a big problem with these sets when it comes to the connection. I extended the connection wire from the engine to the coal car which was also a problem. Much easier to connect but still a little tricky with the tiny pins. Some of the Elves do not move but most do. The bell car in this set is not moving the bells which is a known issue with Lionel, that is why the later sets changed to the Calliope. The remote has the battery. Make sure you point the remote at the engine because it is infrared. I could not figure out how to upload a video. I would like to sell this as a complete set but I know people are looking for parts. I packed this as tight as I could but is still weighs 23 pounds and is 34x23x8. Took me an hour to build a box around this thing.
