AristoCraft Pennsylvania Railroad 4-6-2 Pacific type Steam Locomotive and AristoCraft Pennsylvania Railroad Long Tender with Sound. This is an impressive locomotive in this scale. AristoCraft struck a good balance between detail and cost, including many detail features such as lighted front marker lights and engine number boards, cab lighting, front directional headlight, opening smoke box door with Pennsylvania logo number board, opening cab windows, real brass grab irons, and all metal wheels with authentic spoked drivers. Numerous other details include Individual piping, compressors, and intricate driving rods, rounding out a very nice looking set. This particular version of the Pennsy 4-6-2 also features detailed multi-colored paint and striping to set this off as a real showpiece on your G Scale layout. All the lights work, as does forward and reverse running, but I was unable to test the sound or smoke functions. The locomotive is in excellent, very clean condition but shows definite signs of use. The driver wheels show very minimal running marks. Tender is in excellent condition. The standard heavyweight passenger cars are built with all-steel construction (which gave them their nickname “heavyweights”) these passenger cars were the finest on rails in the 20s and 30s. Bring the era to life on your layout with these models, painted and lettered for some of the most enjoyable trains of the times.
