Offered for sale is a used Bachmann #90025 ” Denver & Rio Grande Western” G scale starter set which I assess as in “C7″ excellent condition and I believe it is complete (see what is included below). C7 excellent is defined as: “All original and may have minute scratches and pain nicks; no rust, no missing parts, and no distortion of component parts” Included in this set is: the locomotive, tender, box car, and caboose. Also included are 12 pieces of curved track and 2 piece of straight track, transformer & track connector with wire. It does come with its original box and form insert however the box is in very poor condition. The locomotive runs just fine and the tender sounds work as well. The only thing I found on the locomotive is that two of the brake shoes on two of the drivers is broken off. They are here and included but have been broken off. They are very small parts and very fragile so it isn’t unusual that they get broken very easily. This is the Lionel Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends Electric Train Set, G SCALE. My grandfather was a great model railroad collector. When he died in 1998, he left his entire collection to me, while I was in my early teens. While I still love trains, I’m afraid I have neither the time space to properly display these. I have set aside several sets, cars, and engines that I intend to keep. Even if I keep one-tenth of his collection, it will still be more than anybody I know. It pains me to sell anything, but for a variety of reasons it must be done. This set is in excellent condition, clearly not new and sealed, but well taken care. He had G Scale track running in his living room along the ceiling. And liked to combine this set with the James set, among others. This is an LGB LCE Train and 2 additional Cars, new in Open Box. Part numbers 72600, 30603, and 30604. These are traded in for smaller scales from one of our regular modelers. These units set in his train room with no room to run. I have examined the products on site and at our store and see no major issues or flaws. I have tested the motor and the train runs well on our 6′ test track. The box shows lights on the ends of the train, but does not describe the set as having lights. I do not get lights to work and I do not believe this set has lights. I find a little bit of brass dust on the plastic wheels. This set looks over all new and unused in great condition. I also do not find a manual for the set. The boxes are in fair to good condition. Please ask questions or for more pictures before purchasing.
