The Zugspitzbahn (ZSB) in Bavaria is the most famous mountain railroad in Germany, carrying hundreds of thousands of tourists to the top of Germany’s highest peak. This set contains an electric rack locomotive and two four-axle coaches, all in the blue and white livery of the ZSB. The loco features powered adhesion wheels as well as a cog wheel, so it can run on normal LGB tracks as well as on rack sections. If you equip the mountainous sections of your layout with the LGB cog rack (10210 and 10220), you can operate your own rack railroad with grades up to 25%. Catenary or rail power and DCC/MTZ ready. Working directional interior and exterior lighting. Made in West Germany – Pre-Marklin.
