Bachmann Golden Classic Series Denver and Colorado G Scale Very nice train set. Passenger and Baggage cars like new and have metal wheels with 9 volt battery operated lights. Engine has great Chuff sound and great smoke. Excess to my needs. I have 2 other sets. Passenger cars would grade as new, very little use. Engine has minor dust/scrapes and missing small hinge part at front of boiler where smoke switch is located. Excellent smoke and chuff sound. No track or transformer. LGB 72324 Denver Rio Grande Western G Scale Steam Train Starter Set, Box, Video
This discontinued train set is in excellent pre-owned condition, it looks like it may have been run once or twice by the previous owner if at all. I’ve personally tested it for nostalgic purposes and quality assurance, and the motor runs extremely smooth and quietly. The light on the front of the loco illuminates when going forward, and the one on back lights up when going backwards. The metal wheels are clean and shiny and don’t really indicate much use, but the rubber on the loco wheels broke down from age and has been discarded – it’s only needed for traction when pulling a larger, heavier load. The train and cars themselves are free of dings, dents, markings, writing, stickers, etc. The power cords do have some styrofoam breakdown around the cords, which is something I’ve seen on old products pretty often, and there seems to be a little bit of styrofoam breakdown near the back end of the loco as well. I haven’t attempted to wipe it off, see the close-up photo. A short demonstration video with the lights down low to show the lights can be viewed here. Includes everything you see in the photos, including a box of 12 curved tracks that form a 4 foot circle. One piece was missing so I ordered a replacement online, and that one does have light signs of use. The set of LGB 1150 track clips is unused, though curved a bit. The electrical wires are coiled nicely indicating little use. The box has some storage wear, most noticeably torn at the corners of the lid, but the main box is intact and the styrofoam molds are in excellent shape and cradle all parts perfectly. I’ll put some bubble wrap to fill the interior chamber a bit. It’s packed and ready to go, and is very sturdy. Bachmann Denver & Rio Grande Western G Scale Train Set- C-7 Excellent Condition
Offered for sale is a used Bachmann #90025 ” Denver & Rio Grande Western” G scale starter set which I assess as in “C7″ excellent condition and I believe it is complete (see what is included below). C7 excellent is defined as: “All original and may have minute scratches and pain nicks; no rust, no missing parts, and no distortion of component parts” Included in this set is: the locomotive, tender, box car, and caboose. Also included are 12 pieces of curved track and 2 piece of straight track, transformer & track connector with wire. It does come with its original box and form insert however the box is in very poor condition. The locomotive runs just fine and the tender sounds work as well. The only thing I found on the locomotive is that two of the brake shoes on two of the drivers is broken off. They are here and included but have been broken off. They are very small parts and very fragile so it isn’t unusual that they get broken very easily.
