The shuttle train automatic circuit box allows you have a train shuttle between two stations. An electronic circuit stops the train at the station and reverses the direction to go back. This box set is easy to install and has adjustable stop duration and prototypical smooth start up and braking. It can be connected to 10-24 volts DC. The LGB 10345 is the technically improved successor to old LGB 10340. We recommend this shuttle set above all others due to its low cost, advanced features, included cables & track and the enclosed electronics are hidden and protected inside an LGB end of track bumper that is included. We rate this product a. Weatherproof for Indoor or Outdoor operation. Prototypical smooth start up and braking. Includes easy to follow instructions. Includes mounting screws for the electronic circuit board (mounted at factory). Includes LGB track clips for powering track and your choice of loco or trolley. Includes LGB power wires. Includes LGB isolation tracks with diodes and screws for end of track stopping. New in a factory sealed package. LGB Shuttle Board Input Voltage Requirement: 10-24 volts DC. Input Voltage Requirement when using the optional SL Throttle: 12 – 35 volts AC, DC or DCC. Maximum output current: 3 Amps. LGB Shuttle Electronics come mounted in an LGB end of track bumper as shown. Optional Equipment : (not included with lantern). For setting the speed of your loco. SL8453303 Precision Train Throttle & LED Controller AC, DC or DCC input 10′ input, 3 output cables +3M pad (recommended, see photos below). SL8453303 Precision Train Throttle & LED Controller AC, DC or DCC 10 foot black micro input power cable and 3 inch red and black output power cables (optional but recommended as the throttle is hidden inside the included LGB bumper with the LGB shuttle electronics). The SL8453303 Precision Train Throttle has adjustable regulated output of 1.2 to 24 volts at 3 amps maximum. It matches the input power and voltage requirements of the LGB 10345 Automatic Shuttle Train Circuit Set and can be powered from any AC, DC or DCC voltage up to 30 volts. Instructions for mounting and wiring. Note: the SL8453303 optional throttle is shown in the photos below, the free throttle and bridge included require soldering the bridge to the input of the throttle to become functionally like the SL8453303 shown below. The wire that comes with the LGB 10345 can be used to connect the free throttle and bridge to the LGB 10345, as shown below. Step 1: Remove the LGB Bumper from the LGB 10345 box and turn it upside down on your work space to show the circuit board inside (see photo below). Step 2: Peel off the red backing on the SL8453303 Precision Train Throttle. Step 3: mount the SL8453303 as shown above being sure to place in the center of the case so the brass rails will not contact the device when the bumper’s mounting slots are snapped onto your track. Step 4: use a flat screw driver to secure the red and black 3 inch output power leads as shown above (see the instruction manual if you are not sure of which terminals to use). Step 5: Connect the LGB track power clamps that come with the set to the terminals shown above (see the instruction manual if you are not sure of which terminals to use). Hint: route the wires through the center hole at the back of the bumper before attaching. Step 6: Ensure that your wires can exit the case without being pinched by the track when the bumper is attached. The rear hole at the back of the unit can be used or the wires can be routed down under your track. Step 7: Turn the bumper over and route the 10 foot input power connector your choice of power source from 14 to 24 volts AC, DC or DCC. Connect the LGB track clips as shown in the included LGB instructions. Follow the direction for setting the stop time and acceleration and breaking delays as well as the speed of your loco by use of the 25 turn blue adjustment pot by turning the brass screw (see photos above the SL instruction sheet for details). Your choice of loco will now shuttle back and for with acceleration on staring and deceleration on breaking as long as power is on. To stop the train turn off your power source. The set comes with two LGB isolated tracks with power diodes and bolts for mounting the diodes across the gaps in each section of track. Don’t forget to order the Shourt Line SL8453303 Precision Train Throttle (shown above) that fits inside the LGB bumper next to the shuttle electronics board (see photos above).
