This is a very lightly used (see pictures) classic G gauge complete vintage train set from 1983 distributed in Europe. It is an unusual set as it has a fully decorated diesel rather than the standard 2020 steam locomotive and is is relatively rare as only 850 were produced. Many LGB collectors have probably never seen one in person. The detailed early video game space invaders decorate the containers. The window box is also unique to this particular set, from the Commander Rom logos to the blue tinted styrofoam. This is a perfect retro gift for nostalgic gamers besides being a very unique show piece train with exceptionally detailed graphics. Durable, easy to get on the tracks (which are brass for indoor and outdoor use), reliable, and fun to play with. High quality West German manufacture (not China). The engine has front and rear lights. The containers are removable and open at one end. The set includes engine, two cars with containers, and the circle of 12 tracks. As this was only distributed in Europe (220V current) there is no US transformer included. This is a well made and solidly constructed set.
