Most of the set is new and unused. Curved tracks are tied with their original tie material to the packaging. Other items like the liquid smoke? And power pack appear unused as well from the factory. BUT PLEASE NOTE that the two straight track pieces and the engine have evidence of previous use. The straight tracks (seen behind blue tape in the photos and shown up close as well) have some cosmetic wear to their silver surfaces. Also note that the engine has some minor cosmetic issues on the top from being pressed up against styrofoam for a decade or two or three. Unfortunately, I tried cleaning off the styrofoam mark with rubbing alcohol and it slightly faded the paint. Finally, one of the stacks on the engine looks a little dirty? Dust appears to have infiltrated the box but is mostly cleaned off. You can clearly see these blems in the close-up images provided.
