The newer model, set 7-11803, trains are different in size, track dimensions, have no figures, and come without the Disappearing Hobo feature on the observation car. Don’t be fooled by sellers making an attempt to sell the old part number (set 7-11022) for the newer! This train set includes the following. Steam locomotive, coal tender, coach car and observation car. 16-pieces of G-Gauge track 4 straight and 12 curved – makes. 72 x 55 oval of track. 3 Polar Express figures. Disappearing Hobo on Observation Car. ADD-ON: Polar Express Diorama 7-11138. This is THE POLAR EXPRESS Announcement. True to life whistle and bell sounds. This set contains a No. 24 steam locomotive, a Rio Grand Southern coal tender, a Florence & Cripple Creek car, a Gramps Oil transporter and a Rio Grand Southern Caboose, 20 running feet of steel alloy track, and a 10 piece graduated trestle. The engine has operating headlights, electronic steam sound, and realistic smoke. The train is complete and in excellent condition still in the original box. LGB 2070D 3097 3098 3099 ORIENT EXPRESS G SCALE STEAMPASSENGER SET. Set includes a locomotive and three passenger cars. 2070D Locomotivefeatures operating puffing smoke. Limited Edition of 1500 sets were manufactured by LGB. This set has never been removed from boxes. All original boxes & sleeves. Please note the following: #1 The box lid of the engine has a 1/8 inch nick on the edge. See photo #5, just below and to the left of the word Lehman. The lid of the engine box was not square when manufactured. The top edge of the label end has a slight curvature. Locomotive had never been removed from box; the packing materials and pellets are still as they were when boxed. LGB paper work and instructions are included. Box lid was removed for photos. Original sleeves are dusty but boxes are like new. Local pick-up in the Boston area can be arraigned. Playmobil Western Train Set 3958 Vintage 1988 w/ Box – RARE G-Scale Sears Only Release. Here are main points to consider. The set itself comes in its original box and has all of the figures original to the set. 1 black pole in the front of the engine has broken off, but it has been glued back on. This set is missing its original instruction booklet. There are 12 pieces of curved track. I do know however that it is missing the woman’s bag and umbrella as well as the man’s cane, and one lamp. The box has a couple of tears to the top cover and the bottom Styrofoam portion of the box has one end broken off (see photos above). The trains themselves appear to be in wonderful condition. I did my best to assemble it to get accurate pictures. This set comes from a smoke free, pet free home. This scarce train set was a Sears Exclusive released in 1988, retired in 1989, and never reissued. LGB stands for Lehman Gross Bahn, manufactured in Germany. LGB trains are now manufactured by other companies, making original LGB trains highly sought after and collectible.
