This is a Lehaman Gross Baum “The Big Train” 20401 G Scale electric train set with a total of 39 feet of track (it only takes 12 feet to make a circle) and 5 cars in addition to the engine and a few other accessories. This train set is advertised as indoor/outdoor. This set was a gift from my mom to my stepfather in the early 1980’s. He was in his late 60’s at the time so the set did not see hard use. I inherited the set. And initially added several pieces to it and used it mainly around Christmas. This set as it is now with the additions contain the following. Engine #1 by LGB. Caboose car #4065 by LGB. Cattle car #4068 by LGB. Enclosed Frieght Car #4033 by LGB. Union Pacific Observation Car #1865-61 by Kalamazoo Toy Train Works. 2 transformers a Throttle pack H. Train Control Model 501 and an Autopulse Transamp1 Model 20. 23 feet of curved track. 13 feet of straight track. 2 cross over tracks (1/2 curved and 1/2 straight). 1 cross over track (straight). 1 lighted Operating Semaphore. 1 Rounded Street Light. LGB The Big Train Book / Catalog shows EVERYTHING from how to connect to track layouts, etc. I have tested both controls and both work. Cannot remember now why there are two. A couple of the window panes in the Caboose have become unglued and fallen inside the. The Centerville Station as stated above needs a handyman to glue it back together.
