Zugspitzbahn Rack Train Set. The Zugspitzbahn (ZSB) in Bavaria is the most famous mountain railroad in Germany, carrying hundreds of thousands of tourists to the top of Germanys highest peak. This set contains an electric rack locomotive and two four-axle coaches, all in the blue and white livery of the ZSB. The loco features powered adhesion wheels as well as a cog wheel, so it can run on normal LGB tracks as well as on rack sections. If you equip the mountainous sections of your layout with the LGB cog rack (10210 and 10220), you can operate your own rack railroad with grades up to 25%. Illuminated cab with engineer. This is brand new and has only been removed from the box to ensure proper function. Includes all factory items! This set includes a strong pulling diesel engine with lights, an automobile transporter flat car with AC Cobra for a load, an automobile transporter flat car with BMW Roadster for a second load, all the paperwork, a full circle of track, transformer, transformer to track electrical cables, track ties to hold track sections together. And one of the neatest feature is this train set comes in a steam trunk to keep your train set safe for years. The trunk is in very good condition, has a few blemishes. I can’t find the key to the lock. But aside from being able to lock the pad lock everything works as it should. The one of the corners of the inner cardboard box top has been repaired as can be seen in one of the last pictures. This set would be the perfect beginning for your LGB empire or a great addition to the fleet!
