This set is constructed mostly of plastic. The wheels are metal. It is a working running train set. There are some issues. The box is a little beat up and shows signs of wear. The Styrofoam has protected the parts inside very well. A couple of track pieces have damaged clips. These are documented with a white a dot on the rail road tie. There is not an instruction manual with this set. The tree top tender spot light above elf is out. The hand rail on one side of the tender is broke, but it can be glued together. There is a green light out on the Candy dancer along the floor of the car on one side. Step rail on one corner of the caboose next to elves is missing. Please see all photos for item condition.
