Has a smoker but I didn’t have the correct smoke fluid to test. This set is transformer controlled. The only batteries it takes are for the tender for the sound feature. The engine, cars, and caboose are in very good condition. No tools required for set up. Comes in original box. More G scale listed. New items added weekly.

VINTAGE BACHMANN G SCALE #12 TWEETSIE RAIL ROAD. COMPLETE HOLIDAY TRAIN SET. WITH SOUND (IT CHUG-CHUG-CHUGS FASTER AND SLOWER WITH THE SPEED OF THE ENGINE, AND THE BOXCAR PLAYS HOLIDAY MUSIC, TENDER REQUIRES A 9-VOLT BATTERY AND BOXCAR REQUIRES TWO 9-VOLT BATTERIES FOR THE SOUND). THERE ALSO IS A WHISTLE (WOO-WOO) THAT HOOKS UP TO THE TRANSFORMER AND OPERATES WHEN THE RED BUTTON IS PUSHED. THE TRANSFORMER IS A MRC TRAINPOWER 6200 WITH A POWER BOOSTER SWITCH FOR G SCALE. STEAM ENGINE (4-6-0) PRODUCES SMOKE WHEN DROPS OF SMOKE OIL ARE DROPPED DOWN THE SMOKE STACK. BOTH THE BOXCAR AND CABOOSE HAVE BEEN UPGRADED TO METAL WHEELS TO MAKE THEM HEAVIER AND STAY ON THE TRACK BETTER (THE ORIGINAL PLASTIC WHEELS WERE TOO LIGHT AND THE CARS KEPT COMING OFF AT HIGHER SPEEDS). THERE ARE 16 CURVED TRACKS THAT MAKE UP AN 8-FOOT DIAMETER CIRCLE (WE DON’T REMEMBER IF IT TOOK ALL 16 TO MAKE THE CIRCLE, SO THERE MAY BE EXTRAS). EVERYTHING WORKED FINE THE LAST TIME WE USED IT.
