Vintage, LIONEL The Ornament Express Train Set, 8-81017, Original Box, TESTED. Impress Santa and really scale up your Christmas decorating with this ornate train set. Large scale electric train set suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Big, easy to handle, complete and ready to run for years to come. Complete layout with 12 pieces of track to form a 4.3 foot circle. DC controller, UL approved provides the power to the Unique Posi-Lock track system for a weatherproof track construction. CABOOSE: Operating couplers, period styling with alot of detail. Stove pipe is off of the roof – not broken – just not installed – I’ll leave that for the new owner. I didn’t want to put it in and have it susceptible to being broken. WOOD GONDOLA: Highly detailed with period styling. Brake wheel and cargo. 3 satin ornaments sitting in their own little cradle. LOCOMOTIVE: Tested, ran smooth and quiet. I really think this set may have only been used once or twice. Nicely decorated steam locomotive even the interior shows some detail. Moves forward and reverse. Has an operating headlight. With all the good, this is where I found the only flaw. Right above the cow-catcher there should be a gold colored peg on each side – the left one is missing (see photo). I don’t know if this is something that can be acquired or not. Just remove the other, no-one would know. Stick a flag there or a wreath maybe.

Original owner since 1986!! Train has only been set up and used 4 times, including when it was set up for testing. Front of the train had a small crack on the red plastic from being removed from its box, it was repaired and is now nearly invisible even when you look very closely. See photo of front of train.

For sale is a LGB Circus Train Set – Not Tested – No Box G-Scale. Please see detailed pictures! Item is used and untested from a family members collection. The engine and both flat cars show signs of wear and use. The engine is missing a few detail/trim pieces. One flat car has a circus car, with two animal figures inside. (The circus wagon and animals are not attached). The engines drivetrain looks good and assume it should run. I model O-Scale and Z-Scale, I’m not familiar with LGB. Any questions please ask!
