Bachmann Big Haulers G Scale Rio Grande Train Set – Tested & Running. This classic Bachmann Big Haulers G Scale train set is in very nice pre-owned condition and has been tested. The locomotive runs smoothly in both forward and reverse. The headlight and whistle are both fully functional. Included is everything shown in the photos. Santa Fe tank car. Extra large track including. (18) curved sections approximately 13. (10) straight track pieces approximately 10 each. Total track length 27 feet and 10 inches (334 inches). Original power pack/controller included. A 30-second video is available showing the locomotive operating with the headlight illuminated and whistle functioning. One straight track section has a small broken connector tab. The track still connects securely and the train runs over it without issue. The train has been lightly cleaned and displays very well. Please review all photographs as they are part of the description. Forward & reverse work. Track in good used condition. A beautiful set in excellent condition for the its age. In the video I show the locomotive running on brass track that is not part of the set, but with the set’s transformer. It will run on the included stainless steel track but the motion is choppy because of tarnish (not rust) on the rails. The track should be polished prior to use. DO RESEARCH on the proper way to polish and don’t just go at it with sandpaper or whatever steel wool is lying around. The headlight does work, but I haven’t tested the smoke. No smoke liquid included or on hand. The broken off small drive rod pictured does not affect function. The piece is included. I lubricated the reachable points on the locomotive with Labelle 107 but did not attempt to disassemble the sealed motor. I think it is pretty low-mileage. A very impressive set and a great start for G-Scaling!

Nice Bachmann Gold Hill Express G Scale trainset. It appears to be complete, train was tested and the transformer makes it go around the track. Good condition. A little wear from normal use. The track has some wear and might benefit from a cleaning. The box is complete with some wear.

Train is working, I didnt get the sound or smoke to work. I built a track with 12 curved pieces and 2 straight track and there was 2 curved track left over.
