Vintage LGB “The Big Train” Starter Set No. 20530 – Lehmann-Gross-Bahn, Chiquita Caboose, D10 Locomotive, Original Box & Foam. Rare and complete LGB Lehmann-Gross-Bahn “The Big Train” starter set catalog No. 20530, a classic G-scale (Garden Scale) train set from the 1980s-early 1990s. Made in West Germany, this set is highly sought after by LGB collectors and large-scale model railroad enthusiasts. What’s Included (appears complete from photos). Locomotive : Yellow industrial switcher/dump truck style loco No. D10 / 2090 (with red wheels, detailed cab, working coupler). Caboose : Yellow Chiquita banana boxcar/caboose No. 4033 (blue logo, detailed roof walks, ladders). Passenger Coach : Green LGB passenger car No. 3 (open platform, detailed windows, gold lettering “LB&M-StE”). Track : Straight sections (gray plastic ties, brass rails – enough for a starter loop or layout). Accessories : Small figure (man in suit), original foam insert, paperwork including. LGB “Depesche” subscription info. Decal/sticker sheets (LGB logos, warning labels, load data). German test report sticker (“test 11/83″ – 10x “sehr gut”). Box : Original red/green/white cardboard box with window displays, “The Big Train” graphics, Made in W. Germany markings, some edge wear/scuffs but intact and colorful. Condition : Excellent vintage. Locomotive and cars clean with minimal play wear (no major chips, cracks, or missing parts). Wheels/axles smooth, couplers intact. Track straight and undamaged. Foam insert perfect fit, no tears. Box shows honest age/storage wear (light rubs, corner scuffs, minor edge tears) but graphics bright and display well. No odors, smoke, or pet exposure. Authentic Circus Roncalli color scheme and graphics. GE 25-Ton Diesel Electric locomotive model. Remote control included (no separate transformer needed). Smooth-running 5-pole can motor with reliable gear drive. Uses 6 AAA batteries in the locomotive for power (no track power required). Hook-and-loop couplers for easy rolling stock connection.
