ON SALE FOR A LIMITED TIME! A bargain for this great set! A little hard to find, this is a Bachmann Big Haulers Clementine G scale train set. Included are the “Betsy” engine, caboose and coal car as shown, as well as 14 pieces of track, transformer (or whatever you call the power supply), the power transmitter that you attach to the track, and the miscellaneous parts shown in one of the pictures. The track pieces make a 51″ x 63″ oval. The light on the front of the locomotive works. I did set up the track and the train runs well – seemed nice and smooth in operation, changing speeds, going forward, stopping, reversing. Once I got them put together, they stayed connected. The track is used, as is the train, so you may find minor issues that need a little TLC. I cleaned off some of the metal on some track pieces because it was absolutely necessary (because the previous owner had used tape to keep the pieces stacked together and I had to remove the sticky tape residue before putting the train on the track to test it), but did not clean any other track pieces. These are visible but not glaring, in my opinion. I will be glad to send you pictures of the spots. THE BOX: The original box comes with this set, and while it is basically intact, it has a lot of wear, especially around the edges/corners and the flaps, and there is one place with a “flap” of a paper peel that is about 1″ x 1″. The plastic exterior handle is no longer present on the box because it broke. The styrofoam inside has some chips, scrapes, etc. But these are not enough to affect the integrity of the cushioning. So, while the box remains functional, it is what I would call “distressed”. The controls for this train set are on the power supply, in the form of a lift-up small control “arm” that you turn to various positions to control direction and speed. Note that all parts that are included with this particular set, with the exception of the 14 pieces of track, are shown in the photographs with the listing. If you are expecting other parts or accessories not shown (except for the 14 pieces of track which ARE included in what you WILL get), well, just don’t, because I don’t have any more parts / pieces. THIS MEANS that if something is missing from one of the train cars then it is missing. I don’t know what is supposed to be on them, so it is impossible for me to say for sure that everything’s perfect. The only thing I know for sure that is missing is one of the ladder rungs on the side of the red coal car. My guess is that you could get one from Bachmann or maybe a hobby shop if you wanted it. The wheels on the cars are metal. NOTE: Different computer monitors or wireless devices may render colors differently; therefore, colors you see here are not guaranteed to be an exact match for the items colors.
