Listed here is a LGB, Lehmann-Gross-Bahn, 72427 G Scale Peanuts Theme Model Train Complete Starter Set with an engine-tender with a Direct Decoder digital interface, a small bottle of smoke oil for the loco, a staked flat car, a caboose, a transformer power pack, enough track for a complete loop, and all the connections for operation. The tender had damage to the mounts where the sell attacked to the frame and was repaired. There is no other damage to the tender and rolls perfectly. Caboose is new, never seen the track, and includes the parts bag with all the pieces to the car. The staked flatbed was received with damage from the factory/distributor with a piece of one stake bracket broken and missing and Woodstock’s head missing see pictures. At one time both pieces were in hand and may still be in a miscellaneous parts box but have not been found as of this date. Unfortunately, this was common with these sets due to the poor package design and the fragile nature of the flatbed Peanut character dioramas. Made in limited quantities in 2007, these starter sets include some of the most durable G scale engines ever made. The Peanuts theme sets are very rare, especially with this little track time. ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS SALE GO TO OUR LOCAL FFA CHAPTER. This set is in excellent overall condition. Everything looks new except there are stain spots on the roof of one of the passenger cars (see photo). Also I believe 1 track piece is missing. There are 11 included. Only flaw I found was right step on front locomotive was glued on. Runs fantastic backwards and forward. The tender works perfect. Light and sound perfect and wheels are like new. Caboose and refrigerator car look perfect. This transformer has DC to run your train and AC to run any accessories. It also has pulse width power. Instead of simply starting with a very low voltage and going up as you turn the knob, Aristo power suppliers actually send “pulses” of DC power to the locomotive. As you turn the knob up, the pulses get longer and closer together. The train still starts up slowly (in fact, the “inertia circuit” – another feature – makes sure of that). But the train will generally run a bit more reliably at lower speeds (since nearly full voltage is getting to the train with every pulse). In the meantime, sound systems, smoke systems, and lighting systems all work much better at low speeds than they would with traditional rheostat-only control. Some scratching on case. Comes with the 50081 Transformer, quick connect cable, new smoke package, lights, two caboose lanterns and smoke stack in package (never put on caboose). Box has handle on one end for easy carrying. Engine is a 2-4-0 steam loco with smoke (never used smoke) and has one traction tire. Has a full circle of track (51 diameter) in the original box. This train set was never outdoors. The best part of this set is we had the train store add sound to the train. Very light use time on the track. It has been in the box most of the time. We are the original owners. Lehman brought us LGB trains in 1968. You will see the old gray boxed items, then the yellow boxes, then the matte red boxes and not today’s nice glossy red boxes offered for sale by Trainz. LGB’s trains are 1:22.5 scale, but a lot of liberty is taken, especially with the started sets to make the rolling stock small enough to be able to operate on the 4′ diameter curves that come with the sets. LGB trains are a favorite for outdoor garden railways due to their nice size and they are built with plastic, brass, and stainless steel to make them virtually weatherproof. Item Condition: This is in overall excellent condition with some wear and scratching to it due to storage and use.
