The N700S Shinkansen was developed as JR Tokai’s next-generation Shinkansen standard train and began service between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka in July 2020. It is called “Supreme, ” meaning the best Shinkansen train in the N700 series, and is the first fully remodeled Tokaido Shinkansen train in 13 years. Compared to the N700A, which was the most advanced model up to that time, the N700A has been further improved in terms of stability, safety, comfort, and convenience, and incorporates the latest technologies, including shorter braking distance during earthquakes, enhanced snow landing prevention measures, a battery self-propulsion system in abnormal conditions, and a fully active vibration control system. The distinctive front shape, called the “dual Supreme Wing” design, with its raised edges on both sides of the car body, the design around the lights, and the symbol mark on the gold-toned sides have been accurately reproduced. KATO’s original body tilting mechanism is used to realistically reproduce the inward tilting of the car body as on the actual car. Basic set (4 cars). 10 Wheeler Locomotive and coal car – Tested and functions forward and reverse BUT Operating function is not perfect. Speed control doesn’t function perfectly. Idol it seems to want to still move forward. 2 of 2 crossing gates. 11 of 12 telephone poles with stands. Missing rail road signs. 21 of 20 pieces of track I do not know how that happened – the instructions say 20 pieces of track, there are 21 in all. Box is in good / ok / functional shape. Hole in corner from mouse damage. Has some wear, but all the tabs are there and it’s not crushed or anything. The Styrofoam has some mouse damage. The items have been cleaned. Note that this is extremely delicate plastic. The hopper has been repaired. But you can easily break this by removing it from the packaging without being extremely careful. It was brittle plastic when it was manufactured 20+ years ago, it hasn’t become any less brittle. Be sure to read the operational notes – this functions but not perfectly. As it is a train meant to lap a track that may not be overly important. And some contact cleaner could well resolve that. Looks great under the Christmas Tree! Bachmann Big Haulers Northern Express The Original G scale 4-6-0 Steam Loco. This set is 99% complete- and fully tested the only that is missing is the tallest pair of risers for the 10 piece trestle. There are a few slightly bent pieces (train whistle and tank car wheel) that I have chosen to leave as is instead of attempting to straighten and have the piece break off. The bottom of the tank car also has a broken “Rib” that is pictured and comes included, one of the center ribs could be relocated to the outside as well which would make the imperfection unnoticeable except on very careful scrutiny. The box is functional but shows signs of its age and has been taped numerous times to maintain structural integrity. See photos, need more info?
